Miscellaneous doings since October
So I made my deadline for the new book that will be out next September 2010. I've still got mountains of work to do as now I start in earnest publicising the next Vintage & Craft Fair I co-organise which is happening on 12th December. The last fair was in early October. For the last few months I've pretty much been holed-up at home working on the new book but did managed to get out and about locally for a couple of things, so thought I'd do a round up here so some of the things I've been up to starting with the Vintage & Craft Fair. Click 'continue reading' below to see.

Here's a few photos from the last Fair back in October. I didn't have my own stall this time, was selling a few handmade badges and bags but mostly concentrating on the running of the day. It was really busy all day with visitors so all in all it went really well.

I made some vegan and wheat-free cakes for 'RoyalTea' the vintage tea shop:

Later in October we visited Hanbury Woods in Worcestershire, about half an hour's drive from where we live. Worcester and Worcestershire has so many picturesque spots it's great to visit one and be reminded of the lovely countryside and woodland on our doorstep:

There's loads of rope swings dotted around the woods left by other visitors that are pretty tempting. Chris tested some out:

In the UK the 5th of November is Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes' Night. So the following weekend we went to the village of Feckenham (home of my Mother-in-Law) to their village bonfire and fireworks display. It was really impressive with no-expense-spared lengthy display:

Now that Autumn has kicked in and I've been mostly mooching around the house finishing the book, I've been whipping up our favourite stodgy winter-warmer dinners including this fave, vegan sausage casserole:

I was asked by a Vegan website for a recipe so I sent that one in, if you want the recipe it's HERE.
I also learnt how to make these amazing vegan, blueberry pancakes. Now that was a fun evening! Covered in Maple syrup too. Double yummy.

S'all for now. I'm hoping to get out and about a bit more over the next few weeks so shall report back any findings!
