Winter expo tips

Paris is always on the move, so at the end of November another interesting looking group show's opening up there (left). Exhibition organised by Arts Factory at Espace Beaurepaire + flyer design by the Jeanspezial collective = can't go wrong :)
On the other hand, also in Switzerland an expo has been running since a month or so that looks worthwhile (right): "An Exhibition of Unspeakable Things", works by 100 artists inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "Commonplace Book".

The Winter Show is a yearly tradition for organisers and "moving" nomad gallery Arts Factory, this time inviting a few newcomers to join in with their regular artists for an even merrier christmas spirit. Comics, illustrations, paintings, silkscreens and collaborations will be on view - a small boutique with art merchandise (postcards, books, buttons,...) will provide you with plenty of goodies for under the tree.
Participating artists: Atak, Blex Bolex, Ciou, Jeanspezial, Kerozen vs. Captain Cavern, Mijn Schatje, Nine, N'Roll, Stéphane Kiehl.
Vernissage on November 27 from 16 > 21h, exhibition until December 15. Open daily from 12:30 >19:30h at Espace Beaurepaire (28 rue Beaurepaire, Paris 10e, Métro République).

The art show "An Exhibition of Unspeakable Things" or rather "L'Expo qui Rend Fou" presents the works of 100 artists who were inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "Commonplace Book". In this book, the writer jots down ideas based on his dreams, readings or casual incidents in short notes that he planned to revisit when developing later works of fiction. Among the 100 artists, Mathias Forbach and Thomas Koenig (also known as artist duo Themes) and Körner Union share their vision on the book. The awesome flyer was designed by Julien Notter and Sébastien Vigne from l’At-elier.
"An Exhibition of Unspeakable Things", until April 6, 2008 (!) at La Maison d'Ailleurs (Musée de la science-fiction, de l'utopie et des voyages extraordinaires), Place Pestalozzi 14, Yverdon-Les-Bains, Switzerland. Open Wed/Thu/Fri, 14>18h, Sat/Sun, 12>18h.
