Mikosa magazine number 4 is out now! And our friends in Amsterdam have not only launched their newest issue, but also an exhibition called Whystyle at their gallery plus they're supporting a gig at the Winston Kingdom...

Our favourite Frenchie-gone-to-Brussels strikes again. This time at Plin Tub', a fresh gallery and screenprint collective housed in the now defunct quarters of the Chapelle railway station in Belgium's capital. Its empty buildings were turned into smaller seperated art spaces and workshops a couple of years back, and ever since there's been many events and shows going on, organised by their welcoming inhabitants.
LLCooljo's show opening will also be doubling as a book presentation for his newest publication, wish we had our hands on one already. Yum!!!

Bordeaux-based self-proclaimed non-artist Havec is having his first solo gallery show ever and it's opening up on Friday! Hurry yourselves to Copenhagen's Doodletown, a fairly new gallery that's been programming excellent artists since Day 1.

Artists can find their inspiration in what they see around them, in what they live or what they feel, and Belgian illustrator Ephameron is certainly one of them. Her emotionally charged pictures where composition, sentiment and the use of colour is more important than an underlying concept, will be on show for the coming few weeks at Galerie L.J. Beaubourg in the centre of Paris, behind the Centre Pompidou.

With the sensational success of the Fragiles exhibition at Design Miami 07, the eclectic collection of contemporary porcelain, ceramic and glass design and artwork travels to Belgium for it’s first European show hosted by Quinze & Milan’s Gallery 113 in Kortrijk.

Andrew McAttee is currently showing his much anticipated riotous new work in his solo show "Anti-Gravity" at the FORSTER Gallery in London, England until March 15, 2008. Let's take a peak at what the artist has in store for us.
Sofarida's newest artist docu presents French artist Nuaj's fresh paste-ups around Paris, carried out with a lot of grace and sensitivity. Who would've thought pasting posters during the day is so calm and zen, without having to care about what passers-by might think? Let's all go out and paste!

From tomorrow on, 16 befriended Antwerp illustrative artists will show their drawings, illustrations, collages, sculptures, silkscreen prints,... at Mekanik Strip, Belgium's biggest comic book shop. You're all invited to join us for the opening night!

It seems like all the artists we like are releasing (silkscreen) prints at the same time! Take a look at these beauties, and who knows, even order one of them? Personally, we'd like to have them all...

Nine artists present their work around the theme of "fantasy worlds" in the centre for visual arts Corrosia! in Almere, the Netherlands. Next to the exhibition, workshops around the same theme are presented and related movies projected... Looks like an interesting project.

Personally, I'm not for promoting (big) brands even more, but Nike's most recent collaboration with Parra, Perks and Reas / Todd James is definitely worth mentioning here. The question remains: is doing commissions while keeping your artist integrity possible?

On March 13th, the "Stencil History X" show accompanying the book (published last November) will start its 2008 tour at Inoperable in Austria. Gathering 40 international artists that have founded and continued the art of stencilling, the book is definitely a referral guide for any stencil lover.

Opening on Thursday, this surprising project by "Beautiful Losers" curator Aaron Rose is definitely one to check out. Catholic nun and pop artist Sister Corita opened many paths for very different creative people in the 60s, and will maybe enlighten yours as well?
