Stencil History X
On March 13th, the "Stencil History X" show accompanying the book (published last November) will start its 2008 tour at Inoperable in Austria. Gathering 40 international artists that have founded and continued the art of stencilling, the book is definitely a referral guide for any stencil lover.

"Stencil History X" is an investigation on stencil art with interviews and portfolios of about 40 artists. Paris in the early eighties, death of the punk rock years, birth of hip hop: stencil graffiti has become an authentic artistic movement in that context. This new kind of art gathers the skills of silkscreen printers, painters, photographers and draughtsmen in a single art technique.
Expo opening on March 13 at Inoperable Gallery and Specialty Items Shop, Lindengasse 4/1a, Vienna, Austria and running until April 4, 2008. Open on Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri from 13 until 18h.
