Maya Hayuk's "Apocabliss"

Are you in Brussels on Thursday? Then definitely stop by Alice Gallery, who present their newest show "Apocabliss" that evening. Maya Hayuk is the curator for this neat group exhibition with works by twelve more than interesting American contemporary artists.

Erika Lynn Anderson
The twelve artists Alice Gallery will be showing are Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Chris Duncan, Christine Shields, Cody Hudson, Heidi and Erika Lynn Anderson, Jovi Schnell, Kayrock and Wolfy, Kyle Ranson, Maya Hayuk, Paul Wackers and Thaddeus Kellstadt. What they all have in common is this undeniable 21st century feeling for figurative and abstract art. Colours, compositions, subjects and techniques may vary from each other, but all artists share that unnameable desire to break free and build their own visual world around them. And even though they're all based in different parts of the United States (San Francisco, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York), this generation raised on the D.I.Y.subculture wants it bad, real bad.
"Apocabliss" group exhibition opening on Thursday March 20 at 18h and running until April 26 at Alice Gallery, 182 rue Antoine Dansaertstraat, Brussels, Belgium. Open from Tuesday until Saturday, 11h30 until 19h.
