"Arabesque" is a new and quite original book edited by German design studio eps51 and published by our personal favourite, Die Gestalten. In 192 pages, the volume documents typography and graphic design in the Arab world and Persia, which we think is definitely worth taking a better peek at...

After collaborating on a duo exhibition in Shanghai in 2006, Ephameron and Nigel Peake team up once again for this delicious new double show on the other side of the Atlantic. Their two completely different styles complement each other and fill in a beautiful story about silence, mapmaking, feelings and a passion for drawing.
A couple of months ago we already posted this announcement, but seeing the deadline is very near we thought we'd give you another heads up... Artrmx Cologne is an open exhibition to photographers, street artists, graphic artists, painters and video artists worldwide and is taking place in August 2008. Send in your application before April 15 and get exposed in Cologne, Germany!

Until April 30, you can check out Jon Burgerman's new colourful paintings and sculptures at his solo show in London. Jon launched new work, including large sculptural pieces, at Concrete Hermit Gallery. Following recent exhibitions for the Singapore Design Week 07, ROJO Artspace Barcelona and Milan, Jon returned to the UK with the solo show "Pop Idle".

RuediOne's photography art is currently on show in solo expo "Flashbacks" in Düsseldorf, Germany. "Flashbacks" features the artist's atmospheric photography that shows graffiti artists in the creative process.

On the 5th of April 2008, a one night museum for young and contemporary art took place at the Castle of Mannheim. The event was organized during the "Long Night of Museums" in Mannheim/Heidelberg/Ludwigshafen and featured art by Stefan Strumbel (Offenburg), Smash 137 (Basel), Case (Frankfurt), RuediOne (Heidelberg), Sandro Kopp (New Zealand), Comenius Roethlisberger and Admir Jahic (Switzerland). Have a look at the results!

Modart and Helium Cowboy put their sweat together to host a show with members of the No New Enemies network.

From the 2nd to the 31st of May, Elms Lesters Painting Rooms will be hosting the eagerly awaited exhibition "The Adam and Ron show" featuring new works by UK's rapidly rising star Adam Neate and billboard-hijacking, pop surrealist, superhero of the genre US legend Ron English.

No New Enemies at Les Nuits Botanique. Opening May 7th, the No New Enemies network is taking over the museum located in Brussels botanical gardens during this annual music festival.

We've featured some of their prints before, but let us introduce you again to this wonderful initiative. Tiny Showcase is a USA-based limited-run print company that has been around since 2004, and launches a new artwork every week. Prices stay extremely low and a percentage of the sales of each print is donated to a charity of the artist's choice. Have you ever wanted to collect the ugliest postcards you can possibly find? Well, now there's Cartorama, a freshly started Flickr page by Frenchmen Julien and Cyril (gotta love those names), who scan their best pieces for everybody to enjoy, nicely sorted in different and hilarious categories.
Our favourite topics? "Traffic", "young women" and "religion", without a doubt. Nostalgia galore!

Kuti 7 is out! This free Finland-based comic book newspaper is a 24-page special issue on Swedish and Finnish comics that are published as separate editions in both languages. Don't worry, because as usual, all of the comics include an English translation.
