Electric Windows

On the weekend of May 16th, twenty artists of large-scale ephemeral work will descend upon Beacon, New York, USA and help transform an old electric blanket factory into an art destination.
The now boarded-up windows of One East Main Street will turn the concept of gallery inside-out: displaying eight foot by twelve foot work by artists with all different backgrounds, from Beacon’s own Rick Price to world-renowned pop, street and graffiti artists, such as Ron English, Michael Defeo and Lady Pink.
This painting and installation will be open to the public with most of the artists painting live right in front of the building. Coinciding with Dia Beacon’s fifth anniversary, this promises to be an exciting weekend.
Artists participating include Above, Cycle, Dan Funderburgh, Depoe, Elbow Toe, Jim Darling, Tes One, Lady Pink, Michael De Feo, Peripheral Media Projects, Rene Gagnon, Rick Price, Ripo, Ron English, The Love Movement, Tina Darling, Daryll Peirce, Ultra, UPSO and You Are Beautiful.
