Inspired by the beach, the ocean, its sailors, creatures and mythologies, with a touch of driftwood and bit of seaweed on the side, Evan's almost monochrome blue/brownish paintings feature immense detail and take your breath away with their simple and efficient beauty. The hours this self-taught artist spends on each piece are clearly visible, the blood, sweat and tears still clinging on the edges. Amazing.
