A Week in The Life of a Lad

6.jpg
Recently four of our favorite geezers (TLP, Pez, Flying Fortress, and Eine) went to Brooklyn to show Ad Hoc Art and the rest of the NYC crowd what's up on this side of the ocean. All four of them rocked the show but here I want to focus specifically on one geezer who we all know and love, Chaz aka The London Police aka TLP aka Big Geezer.

We've all seen The London Police Lads before, I would be shocked if you were here reading this and hadn't. And anyone who knows the man behind them, Chaz, or has ever had a beer with him, or even had a beer near him while he was having beers with others, can tell you he himself is a true character. Together he and his Lads have spread ink, paint, and happiness across the globe, and have met amazing people in and directly through this process.

From the outside the Lad is a smiling circle faced little (and sometimes not-so-little) guy who continues to pop up everywhere. There has always been something about them that remained irresistable and attractive to many. At this show in Brooklyn Chaz hit it on the head and showed us all what it is exactly it is that makes a simple black and white smiley character have so much personality. His lad is the facilitator for his life, and his life the art. It's what we all knew but didn't know how he could show it.

During the week of preparation for the show in Brooklyn Chaz decided, and went through with, taking photos of his life every 20 minutes for an entire week. Showing his life as the art and the lads as just some of the creative aftermath.
