72hoursgallery - Hamburg
36 hours to set up a whole exhibition and 36 hours running time. That's it!
Hamburg was the first stop and Kingdrips the first artists to paint, build and get mad in this time. Kai shot these videos during the whole time and uploaded them right away - it was nearly a live documentation on that day...
Kai Klinke's idea in this Series is to see what an artist is capable of, if there is just 36 hours to produce all artworks for an exhibition.
Make it fast, make it dirty and don't complain...

The 5 coffins
Another idea was to offer these "fast" artworks for little lower price than usual, to make the most out of it (72hours gallery is his personal charity project...)
Kingdrips exaggerated this commercial idea in a simple way: They killed themselves to push the prices again!
That's the idea behind the coffins, "The last can", and the dark athmosphere in the gallery. They wrote: "Die in hell - Live in paradise" as an exhibition headline to the walls and went away. They didn't attend the opening and weren't seen until the 'Life after Death' Party in a different Location...
