WALLBREAKERS final Celebration - new photos!
The Street-Art-Exhibition-series ends with a big get-together
2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. A historical moment in German history, as well as for the cultural scene of the Street Art movement. On one hand, the Berlin Wall represents a salient symbol of the Cold War and the separation of Germany. On the other hand, it represents a creative areal of a peacefull revolution and the biggest open-air galery in the world The illustrator, musician and artist will only stay a couple of hours in his former home town Berlin on November 7th.

The Munich native has been living in New York since 2006. Jim Avignon is well known for his speed, while painting a lot of pictures and selling these cheap or even giving them away for free. Designing Swatch watches, airplanes or cars comes as natural to him as giving prison doors a new look.
The latter he'll be undertaking live on November 7th in Kreuzberg. Three doors of a DDR prison in Saxonia are provided in it's natural grey for Jim to design them. Moreover, the multi-talented Jim will also be presenting his latest album for the first time during a musical performance on the final evening of the Art WallBreakers Festival. Under the name NEOANGIN, the musician Avignon has already released 9 CDs with electronic music since 1997. Last but no least, works from his private collection which aren't for sale will also be exhibited.
Everybody, eager to enjoy a "pure" Jim Avignon event is cordially invited. The doors of the Senatsreservespeicher - Artitude e.V. at Cuvrystreet 3-4, will open for the Art WallBreakers finale at 7 pm on November 7th.
